Quality and quantity verification

Goods are verified against purchase contracts, specifications, invoices, packing lists, technical requirements, standards and regulatory requirements. Depending on the assignment this includes physical examination, sampling, measurement, weighing, counting, documentation review and coordination of laboratory analysis. Where discrepancies are found, they are documented and reported objectively.

Pre-shipment inspection

Problems found at origin cost far less than problems found at destination. Pre-shipment inspection establishes whether:

• The goods correspond with the purchase order
• The declared quantity is available
• Products conform to agreed specifications
• Packaging and labelling requirements are met
• The goods are in satisfactory condition
• The shipment is correctly identified and documented
• The cargo is ready for transportation

Loading and discharge supervision

Our personnel attend cargo operations and independently document the movement of goods — quantity loaded or discharged, cargo identification, packaging and condition, container numbers and seals, loading sequence, visible damage, shortages and relevant operational events. The record becomes an independent reference for every party to the transaction.

Agricultural and commodity inspection

Agricultural cargoes vary with origin, storage, handling, transport and processing. We assess quantity, physical condition, grade, specification, packaging and other agreed characteristics, and where laboratory analysis is required we collect samples under suitable procedures for testing by qualified laboratories.

Industrial and manufactured goods

Inspections are tailored to the client's requirements and may include product identification, quantity verification, visual inspection, dimensional checks, packaging verification, marking and labelling, condition assessment, specification checks, documentation review, loading supervision and pre-shipment verification.

Minerals, metals and solid commodities

Sampling, weighing, quantity verification, cargo condition assessment and documentation review for selected minerals, metals and other solid commodities, subject to the requirements of each assignment. Where analytical determination is required, samples are submitted to appropriate laboratories for independent testing.

Container and break-bulk cargo inspection

Containerised and break-bulk shipments need careful verification because discrepancies and damage arise during handling and transport. Inspections cover container identification and condition, seal verification, cargo count, packaging condition, visible damage, product identification, loading and discharge supervision, and documentation reconciliation.
